| Thank
you so much for giving me the once in a lifetime chance to
attend Nevada Boy’s State, I have thoroughly enjoyed
my week here and hope to return next session as a junior counselor.
I currently hold positions as State Assemblyman and City District
Attorney; I am a member of the Federalist Party and will be getting
interviewed for Boy’s Nation. From the guest speakers, to the elections for office, to the
comradery of my fellow citizens, this week has been a week to
enjoy and look upon for many years to come. As your generous contributions have shown, you are a generous,
kind and selfless individual. I sincerely wish I could have had
the chance to meet you or perhaps I will have the pleasure in
the future. Thanks again for making me one of the elite students
in Nevada attending this great program. Sincerely,
Brian Rector

Dear Mr.
Wilison, 6-22-99
I
really appreciate the fact that I have been able to experience
this week at boy’s state.
I have learned a lot about myself, and I have come to believe in
my innate ability to be a leader.
This week, although tiring, has been extremely educational for
me. I assure you that I will carry what I have learned this week
to whatever course I will take in life. I thank you for sponsoring
me. I will never forget this week, and I am grateful that I was
able to attend this amazing program. Sincerely,
Coleman Hillstrom

Sparks High School

Dear Mr. Willison,
It is with a great
deal of pleasure that I acknowledge receipt of the check for
$500.00 from the employees of Have Lights
Will Travel. These monies will be placed in our Student Assistance
Fund and used to provide for various needs of our students.
Here
are some recent examples of what we were able to do with this
funding. The week prior to Winter Break we purchased two bike
tires for a student who must ride his bike to school. Each
day his worn-out tires would go flat and he would have to re-inflate
them before he could ride home. We also matched Student Assistance
Funds with a Lions Club donation to purchase a pair of specialized
contact lenses for a student with an acute vision problem.
We
bought several sets of uniforms for students in physical education
classes so they could earn credit in this required high school
course. Finally the Student Assistance Fund purchased a Ward’s
gift certificate so a homeless student could obtain winter
clothing and shoes. These examples represent real kids in uncomfortable
situations. Your generous gift makes it possible for us to
continue
to intervene in meaningful ways.
On behalf of the administration, faculty, staff, and especially
the students of Sparks High School, please accept our thanks.
We were particularly touched by the generosity of your employees
this holiday season. This gesture sent an invaluable message
of care and concern. You have certainly made the holidays brighter
for all of us at Sparks High School. Please accept in return
our gratitude and our best wishes.
Sincerely,
Kendyl Depoali, Principal

Dear Mr. Willison,
Thank you so much for your support of the Sparks High School Chamber
Singers!! Your donation of $1542.00 will assist greatly in our
fundraising efforts. While the students are working hard on their
own, we are very aware that without generous donations such as
yours, we would not be able to participate in such a significant
performance and educational experience. Your donation will assist
in changing the future as the choir students learn more about the
world they live in and experience art and culture in a new and
life-altering way. Thank you for helping us get to Carnegie Hall!!
Sincerely,
Nancy Sanger, Principal, Sparks High School

Dear Mr. Willison,
I really appreciate you sponsoring me on my trip to Australia.
Without your support I would not have been able to have such a
great experience. While in Australia my team went 7-1 and won the
championship. I pitched a lot and also played third base.
The first day we were in Australia we stayed in Sydney, where
we were scheduled to play four games. Due to the wind and the rain
we were unable to complete these games. We got to take ferries
around the Sydney Harbor and got to see the famous Sydney Opera
House.
After we spent a couple days in Sydney we flew to Cairnes, a city
about two hours from Sydney by air. Here we actually got to play.
We played some local teams there and beat them pretty easily. When
we played a high school team they were able to beat us but most
of them were almost three years older than us. While we were there
we got to see the Rain Forest. It was so beautiful there, so green.
We took a tour of the Rain Forest by train. My favorite place I
went to on the whole trip was to the Great Barrier Reef. It was
so beautiful, there was coral everywhere. We also got to snorkel
there. It was incredible to see all the different colors and sizes
of coral, the Great Barrier Reef also had lots of beautiful fish.
After three days in Cairnes, we flew to Brisbane
where we would complete in the Gold Coast Classic. Brisbane was
my favorite city.
Our hotel was right on the beach and the weather was great every
day. The beach there was awesome, the water was warm to us but
you didn’t see a lot of Aussie’s in the water since
it is their winter in Australia. In the Gold Coast Classic we went
4-0 winning the Classic. We beat all the teams pretty easily. We
were able to this because we had some good pitchers and we hit
the ball very well.
Once again I would like to thank you for giving me an opportunity
of a lifetime. I will never forget all that I got to see and do
and all the fun i had playing baseball.
Thank you,
Zachary Brown
